Chaplaincy in Media, Arts & Entertainment
Coupled with the Mountain of Arts & Entertainment which is referred to as the Mountain of Celebration including sports, fashion and every form of activity for entertainment, is the Mountain of Media. We have chosen to address these Mountains as one, i.e., Mountain of Media, Arts & Entertainment, as it is the Mountain that has captured the hearts of our youth and, to say the least, our younger generation. People operating under this mountain, are at great risk of becoming corrupt or having their destiny thwarted. The internal struggles that individuals may face, can lead to destructive coping mechanisms such as drugs, alcohol, promiscuity, suicide to numb the pain of loneliness or external pressure.
Every chaplain serving in this sphere completes 400 hours of training, with added preparation for the realities of the creative world.
How our chaplains serve
Chaplains operating under this Mountain, will assist people through for example education (i.e., conferences, seminars), entertainment that promotes positivity and clean music, as well as spiritual and emotional care and the Ministry of Presence.
