Mountain of Family
An institution created by God, and one of the most important of them all.

Chaplaincy in Family
The Mountain of Family is one of the most important of them all, because it is an institution that is created by God. Yet, this Mountain faces major problems among families. The broken homes, the abusive behavior or absent fathers, or the lack of love in the homes, are some of the main reasons for societal ills and dysfunctions. Pope John Paul II said, ‘As the family goes, so goes the nation and so goes the whole world in which we live’.
Every chaplain serving in this sphere completes 400 hours of training, with added preparation for the realities of family life.
How our chaplains serve
The insurmountable number of issues in a nation may give an idea of what the family unit looks like. When love is not in the family the cohesiveness that binds the family as a unit is destroyed. Our aim as Chaplains, is to be the ministry of presence, to provide grief and loss counselling in instances of trauma, grief or loss or to guide individuals in the direction where help can be administered from a professional perspective and to host events that bring awareness to the needs of the family to help bring about change.
